Chris Maundrell's Blog
So there I was, putting up the details of the Golf Day onto the site, when I suddenly realised that we're a bit behind on our blog posts!
As I'm now the webmaster (oh the power!) of this wonderful little resource we call the OPMA Web Site I thought that I should probably make an effort to get us back on track. What could be easier than putting a few thoughts down digitally? Many of you will know that my mentor in this industry was Alex McKibbin, so I should be well versed in the art of waffle... sorry, pertinent prose.
Hopefully you are all now used to the new website layout and have found the improved search function more user-friendly than the previous version. The printed OPMA Guide has been an invaluable tool to media planners & buyers for decades and with this re-vamped site we are hoping to continue that relationship between the association, agencies and the wider international media community in the UK for many years to come.
Of course, another key part of keeping the relationship going are the various events that we host through the year. As mentioned above the next one of these will be the Golf Day, which is taking place on June 27th. There are more details to be found within the news section of the site and everyone is welcome, from hackers like myself, aiming to make it 5 or 6 years in a row at the bottom of the rankings (or it may be more than that!) to scratch golfers.
Now no blog post would be complete with a little bit of company self-promotion and as there have been a number of key developments within the Axel Springer portfolio across Europe, don't hesitate to get in touch with me to find out how we might be able to help you.
Oh, and before any of you ask about the picture, it was the best of the bad bunch I had to hand while looking to add one to the blog!
